Chester Square, Belgravia

Located in the heart of the Belgravia Conservation Area, this Grade II-listed townhouse underwent an extensive refurbishment and sensitive extension to reinstate and enhance its historic character.

The works included the construction of a new mews building in Ebury Mews, re-establishing the original relationship between the house and its former service building. A small basement plant room was added discreetly beneath the rear wing, and a lift was integrated within a modest closet wing extension.

Internally, key original features were retained and enhanced, while layouts were rationalised to suit modern family life. The result is a seamless blend of historic architecture and contemporary living, respectful of the building’s heritage and its elegant Regency setting.
