Wilton Row, Belgravia

Wilton Row is a mews property located in the heart of Belgravia. Our proposals include the excavation of a basement, a rear extension at second-floor level, minor reconfiguration of the roof, and the introduction of air-conditioning.

Although the property itself is not listed, a small part of its rear boundary adjoins the Grade II-listed Wilton Crescent. All works have been carefully designed to minimise heritage impact, with structural changes confined to below ground or to rear elevations of limited significance.

The design follows Westminster’s guidance for mews buildings and reflects the prevailing scale and rhythm of Wilton Row, using traditional materials and carefully considered detailing. A new lift has also been introduced to improve accessibility, with all servicing and plant sensitively located and acoustically assessed to meet local amenity standards.

The proposals have been developed with a light-touch approach, building upon previously implemented consents and respecting the historic character of this uniquely discreet Belgravia setting.
